Meet the Weirdos

Jack and I set out on our first bikepacking trip in September of 2021. We bought a couple 90s era steel mountain bikes and loaded them up with a variety of homemade and borrowed bags and about 1 million voile straps. The rigs were a little janky, our gears were way too high, and the first time riding 20 miles with a fully loaded bike felt like a nearly impossible feat. Since that initial pedal-powered adventure, we’ve sewn a variety of our own bike bags and overhauled our trusty steel frames into hill-slaying machines. It seems like we can’t get enough of this bikepacking thing!

This summer will be our first BIG trip on our bikes. We’ve been planning this trip around the west for nearly 2 years, and it’s finally here! We will be setting out from Salt Lake City on June 16, 2023. We’ve budgeted about 4.5 months to complete the Western Wildlands/Great Divide ultimate linkup. My hope is that this website is a place for us to share our adventure with friends, family, and the greater bikepacking community. Thanks for being here!!
